So you’ve just completed your enrolment and know what course you are studying, now all you need to do is plan how to spend your time when you are not in lectures.

Well we have the answer! – Sports Joint Membership

If you want to be part of a sports club, or take part in competitive sport or just play for fun, if you want to meet new friends, socialise or just keep fit then this is an opportunity you cannot miss.

Sports Joint Membership gives you the opportunity to:
 

• join any Union sport club (currently over 30 to choose -from Fencing to football, basketball to badminton, rowing to rugby, climbing to canoeing, American Football to Archery ) All sports clubs are student led, meaning they are run for students and most importantly by students through the Student Union
• play sports competitively in the BUCS(British Universities College Sport) Leagues, local leagues or just casually usually for no extra cost
• take part in a whole variety of Unique/Union led sports and activities including campus sports
• use the new Unique Fitness and Lifestyle Health and Fitness facility which hosts the latest state of the art fitness equipment (100 pieces on 2 floors), 25 metre 5 –lane swimming pool, squash courts, indoor climbing wall, dance and exercise studio and 4 court multi-purpose sports hall

The membership lasts for 12 months and there are 2 options;

Student Peak membership @ £160– which includes all the above and access to the Unique health and fitness suite at any time whilst the Unique sports centre is open

Student Off peak membership @ £85 - YES only £85! This includes all the above with access but with no access to the Unique health and fitness suite and swimming at these times: Monday-Friday 12-1pm and 5pm-8pm. Certain Unique sports hall classes are also excluded in this offer.  There is a brand new fitness class which will be advertised on the club sports timetable.
