Party On The Amp is our annual end of year event, held on the final day of term, where 2000 students come down onto the amphitheatre with BBQs and to enjoy the attractions put on by the Students' Union.
In 2010 we brought, for the first time ever on campus, a fairground with three massive rides, side stalls and food, unlimited use of all for just £5. The amphitheatre event remained free as always with our custom-built water slide, live DJ music, a band, a bouncy castle, BBQ and much more!
In 2011 the fairground returned with even more rides and we had a massive stage on the amphitheatre featuring DJs, dancers, bands and a live DJ set from Chase and Status!
The next Party On The Amp is on Friday 25th May 2012.
History of the end of term event
2003 - The very first 'beach party' with tonnes of sand on the amphitheatre plus a stage-full of attractions
2007 - The one and only 'Summer Blast Off'
2008 - The first Party On The Amp event with more attractions on stage
2009 - The slide is used for the first time plus lots of food stalls in library square
2010 - A massive fairground joins the event on the amphitheatre
