Union Council:

Union Council is one of the statutory bodies of the Union. This means that it is the body that decides how things are done.

Union council is governed by its standing orders. 

It sets the work of the Executive Officers (the people that run the Union) and holds them to account.
Council meets monthly during term time with councillors being elected in a cross campus ballot and representing particular schools, societies and clubs in the Union.

Union Councillors are the people that set the policy of the union and are the highest body in-between the meeting of all Students in General Meetings. You can contact all councillors through e-mailing ubu-council@brad.ac.uk.

General Meetings:

General Meetings are the highest form of meeting in the Union. They approve the constitution, accounts and set the agenda with large political issues being debated. 100 students from at least 2/3 of the university schools must attend this meeting and all students are encouraged to attend.

Any one can put an idea to a council or a general meeting through a motion, and all paper work must be sent to ubu-ust@brad.ac.uk a week before the meetings.
