It can be a bit overwhelming to come into a new country on your own, having to adapt to a new culture, make a new social life as well as facing financial difficulties. This is why the UBU has set up the international student’s forum: a safe place where international students from all over the world can socialise, get advice and discuss issues of concern such as tuition fees, banking, visa charges, representation etc. The buddy and mentor scheme, where international students are matched up with other students and staff who share similar interests has also been set up to improve the international students experience.
