► One World Week

One World Week is an exciting set of events enabling students to celebrate the vast range of cultural backgrounds here at UoB. The week starts on Monday 19th March.

This year's events will include:
Monday 19th - International Kitchen: free food from all around the world in the Communal Hall at lunchtime

Tuesday 20th - International Gala - songs and dance (both traditional and modern) from all around the word, with our students performing. From 7pm - Free for everybody.

Wednesday 21st - Costume parade and international market in Student Central. Also, Chinese water art workshop all day and Belly dancing workshop from 5pm.

Thursday 22nd - Far Eastern teahouse in the Activities Room. Come and drink tea from the East in the peaceful environs of our Far Eastern teahouse, right here on Campus.

Friday 23rd - Georgian Choir workshop from 5pm in the Activities Room.

Sat and Sun 24th and 25th - International Film Festival

3pm - Italian for Beginners? by Lone Scherfig from Denmark (Denmark/Sweden 2000, 97 min).
6pm - "Y Tu Mama Tambien? by Alfonso Cuaron from Mexico (Mexico2001, 106 min).


Sunday 25th March 2012 (£3 per ticket)
6pm - Invisible Circus: No Dress Rehearsal? by Naomi Smith from UK (UK 2010, 98 min).
