► The Ecologist

Our Union won the unique ‘Ecologist Community Challenge’ award, as well as the Bronze Award at the Sound Impact ceremony in March 2008. The award is in recognition of the effort of the whole Union in their environmental initiatives and for completing set Eco-Challenges. The award is designed to be a catalyst for grass roots campaigning that delivers real environmental change.

The prize of the Ecologist award is for everyone to have a free yearly subscription to and access to the archives of The Ecologist Magazine online available on campus.

Out of all other students union entries nationally, the Students Union covered the most categories to the highest standard. The categories were: Drinking Water (Sales of ONE Water), Volunteering, Reusing items (Uboutique our Second Hand Store) and Campaigning.
